cheap_golfclubs
Golf has always been a sport for the rich. First, there is the clothing one has to buy. Every golfer needs shoes, gloves, glasses, and golf shirts. Then, there is the golf equipment: golf bags, golf clubs, putters, balls, wedges, irons, woods, etc. A new golfer can easily spend $600 before finding a golf course and paying those fees.

Online golf stores are offer discounts on golf clothing and cheap golfclubs for those who want to participate in this sport but lack the money to do so. Discount golf stores also offer used clubs that are in decent condition. Still, new golfers should realize is the swing and technique that makes the golfer, not the shoes.

A Golfclub Denies Membership

golfclub A golfclub in Vancouver Canada is denying membership to non-English speaking patrons. This situation is similar to the controversy surrounding the LPGA denying membership to non-English speakers.

This particular club, named the Vancouver Golf Club, opened over 100 years ago. The general manager explained that this policy was designed to make sure that all members are able to understand the rules and communicate with club staff. Those who do try to apply, with the aid of a translator, are asked to take language courses and reapply at a later time. Professor Inzlicht of the University of Toronto remarked, "Not speaking English does not exclude one from good manners, does not exclude one from being a very good golf player, so if you're really worried about rules and regulations.... there's definitely some other ways of getting around this."

The Golf Club Components

golf club components
Golf club components can be easily divided into the grip, shaft and head. There are many companies out there that make golf clubs. Here are the most popular ones: Callaway, Ping, Taylor, Nike, Cobra, Adams Odyssey. The grip, shaft, and head can be specified into its own categories. The grip could be made out of rubber or resin and it all depends on how tight of a grip the golfer wants. For the shaft, the thicker it is, the more power on the swing. The head is the most important part because it determines the power put behind the ball. There are chipper, putter, and driver heads available.

Choosing Golf Club Grips

golf club grips
Golf club grips come in all shapes and sizes. Some of them are thicker around the handles, while some are a lot thinner. Most are made of rubber for maximum grip, but there are other materials used for a looser grip. The question is what kind of grip is most comfortable for you? A thicker grip allows for a quicker and more powerful swing, but takes away from curving the ball. While, a looser grip is not as powerful, the user can manipulate the ball a lot better. There are pros and cons of each kind of grip, just make to find the one that you are most comfortable with.
