Golf Club 357 - Used Clubs

golf club 357

From Golf Club 357, no matter how good you feel, if you have never played golf, you should not buy a set of new golf clubs right away.

It is always better to borrow clubs from a friend, gain some experience and then use it to make a purchase. Moreover, it takes time to figure out the kind of clubs that fit your style of playing. You could also go in for used golf clubs and use them until you are ready for the big leagues. Not only will these be less expensive, but will help you practice as much as you want without worrying about damaging them.

Used golf clubs are great for players to practice, and beat up with, since they don't have to really be concerned about breaking or damaging the clubs. Sometimes, novices tend to put too much pressure on the club while getting the ball off the tee, and this could lead to bending, or breaking of the golf club.

Golf Club 357 - Dave Seanor Will Be Using His Golf Clubs a Little Bit More!

Golf Club 357
Golf Club 357, Now former Golfweek magazine editor Dave Seanor will have a lot more time on his hands, he'll no doubt be using his own golf clubs a little more in upcoming weeks. Dave Seanor was fired earlier this week for a controversial cover on the January 19 edition of Golfweek.

The cover depicted a noose, riding on the coattails of the Tiger Woods Lynch comments. The whole thing came about when anchor Kelly Tilhman joked in a telecast that Woods' competitors in the Mercedes-Benz Championship would have to lynch him in a back alley (in order to win, was applied in the statement, but not actually said).

The cover with the noose was captioned with "Caught in a Noose: Tilghman slips up and Golf Channel can't wriggle free."

The golf channel had already fired the anchor, and had publicly apologized for the comment directed at Woods. Now Golfweek, is now finding themselves in the same position.

Golf Club 357 - Technology Is Reaching The Course!

Golf Club 357

Golf Club 357, In a recent article this week on worldgolf.com, it was announced that Cleveland Golf has introduced a cart bag that has club count technology. The new V-14 cart bag acts like a virtual caddie.

The bag itself has electronic sensors built in, and it will warn players with a small chirp and LED light if they fail to return the same number of clubs into the bag that they started with. This will assist players from leaving their favorite clubs behind on the course.

The bag is very user friendly. Simply turn the bag on when you arrive at the first tee, and hit the off button at the end of your game. If along the way you don't put one of your removed clubs back into the bag, the bag will notify you along the way.

Golf Club 357 - Courses Feeling the Affects of the Economic Downturn!

Golf Club 357, With the overall economic downturn the country is experiencing; it was inevitable that the back nine would eventually feel the effects. In a recent article by Mark Cardon in the Herald Tribune, he lists some of the effects on south Florida's courses.

Not only has leisure golf been on the decline, but attendance for charity golfing effects has also been on an incredible downturn. With inflation on the rise, and paychecks not keeping up, leisure activities are getting hit hard.

The Bobby Jones golf course in Sarasota had a 22% decrease in play in October, and the course is down 8% for the first half of January.

The Lakewood Ranch Country Club was greatly disappointed earlier this month when they had expected 1,500 people to attend the Paula 4 Kids Golf Celebrity tournament, and only had 12 foursomes.

Unfortunately, the immediate outlook for 2008 is not pleasant. With the government not reacting to the housing crisis, as it should, the money once designated for leisure activities is now being spent on day-to-day living.
