Simple Steps on How to Swing a Golf Club

how to swing a golf club

Learning to swing a golf club properly is actually not that difficult. Follow these steps on how to swing a golf club, and you'll be ready to enjoy golf like never before.

When you begin, stand with a neutral back and your feet shoulder-width apart. On the back swing, rotate your torso and set your leading wrist so you create a 90-degree angle between the shaft and your lead forearm.

In the down swing, haul your club head so it follows behind everything else and increase the 90-degree angle you've created. When you reach the impact area, unwind the angle quickly to create as much speed as possible.

Once you hit the ball, your belt buckle should face the target squarely, the club should be behind you, and you should be planted on your lead foot with your back foot balanced on your toes.

Lessons from a rookie on How to Swing A Golf Club

how to swing a golf clubI know why you are here. You are here to learn how to swing a golf club. There is a problem though. I do not have that great of a golf game. I like swinging to hit the golf ball and hearing that sound make it go far to the hole. There are a couple key things I remember from learning.

The first thing about it is having your feet set as wide as your shoulders. Next, your grip on the club must be firm but not too firm. Before you swing, your knees need to be bent a bit but keep your back straight. Finally, when you swing, bring it back until the club is at your eleven o’clock while you still have your eyes on the ball. Remember, when you swing it is about finesse not brute strength. So, swing back down with the recoil and keep position even after you hit the ball. If this does not help, watch Tiger Woods on television.
